■Description
The Kitakyushu Telework Center is based in Kitakyushu City and opened
in April 2000 as an urban joint-use office using telecommunications
technology. The FAIS (The Kitakyushu Foundation for the Advancement
of Industry, Science and Technology) SME Support Center is in charge
of the management and administration of the Center. The Center is
a basis for businesses to expand operations and to conduct research
and development. The center aims to promote information technology
and telecommunications industry in Kitakyushu region, to assist ventures
and small- and medium-sized businesses, and to contribute to the vitality
of industry and the creation of new employment opportunities by strengthening
business support functions. 3 full-time incubator managers are assigned
on-site at the Center to provide business support services for start-up
and expansion of entrepreneurs' businesses.

| 3 full-time incubator managers are assigned

the client companies. Our mission is to make our client companies'
businesses grow and prosper and further contribute to the regional
economy. The services include day-to-day business advices to
professional services when in need, such as legal and accounting
advices. The client companies can be provided relevant business
consultation by the contract business coordinators free-of-charge.
For the networking and business-matching, exchange meetings
and exhibitions are often organized, and the client companies
are encouraged to join these activities. |
